Lissette Acosta

Lissette (“Liz”) is the Team Support Specialist at Confluence Philanthropy. She provides comprehensive support to various levels within the organization, with a special focus on assisting the Management and Program Teams. 

Liz has a wealth of experience in event coordination and operations. Before joining Confluence, she served as the Meetings and Events Coordinator at the New York Academy of Sciences, a renowned network for STEM scholars offering scientific symposia, webinars, career readiness training, and youth STEM programs. In this capacity, Liz planned and executed meetings and programs. Liz has served as a Conference Coordinator at Opal Group, where she managed symposia and programs across the U.S. and internationally.

Liz is passionate about applying social justice to education and economic inequality. She also enjoys immersing herself in new experiences, exploring new destinations, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and experiencing the world’s beauty. Above all, music holds a special place in her heart, whether she's attending concerts, discovering new artists, or simply enjoying her favorite tunes.
