Women and people of color manage only about 1.4% of the world’s $82.24 trillion of assets under management. Confluence’s Racial Equity Initiative is working to expand the control and deployment of capital beyond traditional gatekeepers to include diverse leaders. The Initiative uplifts compelling thought leadership, provides investor resources, and organizes brave conversations to encourage action that transforms the broader financial industry.
Our two annual conferences, the Practitioners Gathering and the Advisors Forum, feature robust sessions that fall under the theme of diversity, equity, and inclusion and include panels featuring the voices of women and people of color.
Racial Equity Initiative Advisory Committee
Confluence launched the Belonging Collaborative with six other peer networks to develop a shared vision to advance racial equity across the investment industry. The Collaborative includes Confluence Philanthropy, The ImPact, Impact Capital Managers (ICM), Intentional Endowments Network (IEN), American Sustainable Business Network (ASBN), and TONIIC.
The Collaborative’s mission is to create an activated global network of values-aligned investors who collaborate, inspire action, and elevate the industry best practices for racial equity investing. The Belonging Collaborative is a fiscally-sponsored project of Confluence Philanthropy.
